Knowledge in the PYP is organized into six Transdisciplinary Themes. These have been carefully chosen for their significance to all learners in all cultures. They offer many opportunities to further the skills, knowledge and understanding within and across six subject areas; Arts, Language, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science and Personal, social and Physical education. Each unit of inquiry is developed in order to illuminate the theme as it is viewed through the lenses of different subjects, connecting them to a larger understanding.
