Welcome to the International School of Belgrade High School!
As the only fully authorised International Baccalaureate World School in Belgrade, with a rich history spanning over 75 years, we are proud to offer a strong, holistic educational programme for our diverse learners. Our Secondary School serves middle and high school students aged 11 to 18, beginning with the Middle Years Programme and culminating in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and/or High School Diploma.
What is the DP Programme?
Reflecting the school's commitment to "excellence," the IB Diploma Programme is a challenging curriculum designed to prepare students for university. Over the two-year programme, students hone critical Approaches to Learning skills—such as Thinking, Self-management, Communication, Social, and Research—that they continue to develop from the MYP. These competencies equip our students with the academic foundation necessary for success at any university around the globe.
Furthermore, ISB students aim to exemplify the qualities of the IB Learner Profile, becoming inquirers, risk-takers, principled, balanced, and reflective individuals. The DP programme places a strong emphasis on nurturing students as compassionate global citizens, providing ample opportunities to engage in community service at local, regional, and global levels. We encourage our graduates to leverage their ISB education to make meaningful contributions to the communities they join as alumni.
Students who do not pursue a full IB Diploma Programme will enrol in IB courses, typically at standard level, and earn credits for graduation before obtaining an American high school diploma.
Supporting our Learners
Our student support team, which includes homeroom teachers, welfare coordinators, student support and EAL teams, social-emotional and university guidance counsellors, and a school psychologist, work alongside our staff and students to provide support throughout the learning process.
Beyond the Classroom
ISB offers a wide range of co-curricular activities after school. As members of the Central and Eastern European Schools Association (CEESA) and the International Schools Theatre Association, and through partnerships with other schools and organisations, our students have the opportunity to participate in international events and competitions throughout the year. Please visit our website for more information about these opportunities.
If you would like more information about our programmes, please contact our DP Coordinator, Fenia Rizopoulou.
